Something to Think About

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in,
Trying to fade into the faces.
The girls' teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know,
Farther than they know.
But if we are the Body,
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the Body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way.
A traveler is far away from home;
He sheds his coat
And quietly sinks into the back row.
The weight of their judgmental glances tells him that his chances
Are better out on the road.
But if we are the Body,
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the Body?
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come,
And we are the Body of Christ.
If we are the Body,
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
Jesus is the way.

We are to be a shining light in a dark place...a city set on a hill cannot be hid!

a reflection of His grace!

Grace that reaches to all...

God bless you Sara..

Wow. That is indeed something to think about. We never know when we might make a difference in a life and we cannot and must not fail to reach out whenever someone comes in our midst. We need to be wise, of course; sometimes it would be better if a young lady reaches out; sometimes it would be better if a young man did it; sometime a woman; sometimes a certain man; etc. But as the body of Christ our arms must indeed be reaching out to anyone whom we can help along the way.

What a precious post. It should speak to each of us of the love of Christ that needs to be shown in practical ways.
